Good Morning, Lake Tahoe Skiers & Riders!  If you are Visiting, Welcome to Lake Tahoe.  HereÕs your Mountain Resort Report for your Super Day Sunday, February 5th.  Shaping up to be a Super Day to hit the slopes.  Expect Super Sunny Skies with Temps into the mid 30 on the Slopes and Light Winds.  Dress warm, in layers, with your Jacket. Wear a Hat, Beanie or Wear a Helmet for Safety; also, wear Good Sunglasses or Goggles. DonÕt forget the Sunscreen. Surface conditions are variable with Machine Groomed, Machine Made & Skier-Rider Packed Snow. Ski & Ride with Care!  Early Season Conditions Exist!  Keep an Eye for Marked and Unmarked Obstacles & Stay on Opened Runs Only.

South Lake Tahoe & Surrounding Area Resorts

Heavenly Mountain Resort - South Lake Tahoe –- Is open reporting a base of 25-35Ó. 25 Lifts are scheduled to operate today (8:30-4) with Access to the mountain from the Heavenly Village Gondola, California Base Lodge & Both Stage Coach & Boulder Lodges on the Nevada Side. 12 Lifts scheduled to turn on the California Side & 13 Lifts scheduled on the Nevada side. 67 Trails are open + The Ante Up Terrain Park is open with 22 Features & Groove Terrain Park also open with 23 features. (MG MM PP / 17F / Clear / Lt Winds). Adventure Peak at the top of the Gondola is scheduled open with Snow Tubing – 5 lanes open & Sledding (11-3). Sierra-At-Tahoe - on U.S. Hwy 50 () – is open reporting a base of 18-41Ó.  10 Lifts & Tows are scheduled to operate (9-4) including Grand View Express to the top & West Bowl Open.  33 Runs are open (29MG) Plus, Broadway Terrain Park & Boarder Cross are open. (MG & SKRPP / 24F / Clear / Lt Winds). Plus the YodaÕs Riglet Park with The Burton Star Wars Experience to teach kids 3-6 Snowboarding. Hosting the Gatorade Free Flow Tour. Hope Valley XC Outdoor Center - 14655 Hwy 89/88 () – at PickettÕs Junction – The Yurt is open daily (10-5). They have a base of 6-20Ó.  50 Miles of Marked & Skier Packed Trails and 20 Miles of Groomed Trails are open. 6pm Moonlight Snow Shoe Tours offered tonight and there are No Fees to XC or Snow Shoe in Hope, but they do accept donations. Kirkwood Mountain Resort - On Hwy 88 () – is open reporting a base of 41-46Ó. 11 Lifts are scheduled to operate (9-4) with Chairs 5, 6 & 10 out of the Mtn Village, Plus, Chair 4 & Covered Wagon on Back Side and 2 Lifts turning at the Timber Creek Base - Tahoe Learning Center. 72 Trails are open (29MG) + 3 open Bowls. The Burton Progression T-Park & K2 Stomping Ground is also open. North & East Shore / Nevada Resorts

Spooner Lake Cross Country – at the Junction of Highway 28/50 () - at Spooner Lake State Park is now open with a base of 6-12Ó. 5 Trials are open offering 20km of groomed XC trails and they also have 5km of snow shoe trails available. . (775) 749-5349. www.spoonerlake.com

Diamond Peak - Hwy 28 () - in Incline Village – Is open, reporting a base of 30-40Ó.  5 Lifts are scheduled to operate (9-4) including the Lakeview Chair & The Crystal Express Quad to the top.  17 Trails are open (9MG); Plus the Popular & Penguin Terrain Parks are open. (MG & SKRPP / 22F / Clear / Calm Winds). Hosting the Salomon BBR Tour. They have Complimentary Shuttle Buses running from Crystal Bay and thru-out Incline Village. Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe - Mt. Rose Hwy 431 ()  – Reporting a base of 30-48Ó. 5 Lifts are scheduled to operate (9-4) including The Northwest Magnum 6 to the top of the Rose Side and The Blazing Zephyr opening at 8:30am to the top of the Slide Side with the Winters Creek Lodge open. 48 Trails are open (30MG), Plus Badlands Terrain Park is open.  (MG & SKRPP / 22F / Clear / Lt Winds). Northstar California - On Hwy 267 () – is open reporting a base of 24-31Ó. 18 Lifts are scheduled to operate (8:30-4) The are Open Top to Bottom – Front to Back, including Look Out Mountain is open.  70 Trails open (45MG). 4 Terrain Parks are open with 27 features  & The Shaun White 22 Ft Half Pipe is open.  (MG & SKRPP / 19F / Clear / Lt Winds). Hosting the Burton Mountain Festival Tour.  The Snow Tubing Center is open (10-4) & The Village Ice Rink is open (12-9). Boreal Mountain Resort – Off I-80 () – at Boreal/Castle Peak Exit – Is open reporting a base of 29-36Ó. 5 Lifts are scheduled to operate (9-4) with the Accelerator Express Quad & 49Õer to the top of the front-side. Plus the Castle Peak Quad & Nugget Chair turning.  25 Trails are open + the Mini Shred & Core Terrain Parks with 38 features. (MG & SKR PP / 18F / Clear / Lt Winds). Soda Springs Winter Resort - Off I-80 () on Donner Pass Rd. – Is open Thursday thru Monday and reporting a base of 24-30Ó. 5 Lifts & Tows are scheduled to operate (10-4) including the LionÕs Head & Crystal Bowl Chair to the midway station, for skiing & riding with 4 trails open. Donner Ski Ranch - On Donner Pass Road () – is now open on a base of 18-28Ó. 5 Lifts are scheduled to operate (9-4) on both the Front and Back side open with 50 trails open. Sugar Bowl Ski Resort - Off I-80 () on Donner Pass Rd  – Is open reporting a base of 19-38Ó. 9 Lifts are scheduled to operate (9-4) including The Jerome Hill Express, Christmas Tree & Mt. Lincoln Express to the top.  61 Trails are open (43MG), the Coldstream & Caboose Terrain Parks open with 26 Features.  (MG & SKRPP / 18F / Clear / Lt Winds).  Access to the Mountain is thru the Mt. West Shore / North Lake Tahoe Resorts

Homewood Mountain Resort - On Hwy 89 (R1) – 6 miles South of Tahoe City, Is open reporting a base of 27-40Ó. 8 Lifts & Tows will operate (9-4) out of both North & South Lodges including the Ellis Chair, the Maden Chair & the Old Homewood Express.  50 Trails open (), Plus, Shredwood Terrain Park. Granlibakken Ski & Snowboard Hill – Hwy 89 () - Tahoe City – The Ski & Snowboard Hill is open Fri-Sun. on base of 18Ó with 2 Surface Lifts.  They have XC & Snowshoe Trails open & their Snowplay/Sledding Hill open daily as conditions permit  (530) 581-7533  www.granlibakken.com

Tahoe Cross Country Ski Area - 3 miles E. of Tahoe City on Hwy 28 () – is open (8:30-5) reporting a base of 6-10Ó. They have 6 Trails Open with 16Km of Groomed XC Trails + Lakeview Snow Shoe Trail. (19F / Clear / Lt Winds) (530) 583-5475. www.tahoexc.org

Alpine Meadows Ski Resort - Hwy 89 () – is open reporting a base of 19-50Ó. 10 Lifts are scheduled to operate (9-4) including Summit Six, Scott Chair & Sherwood scheduled. 80 Runs are open.  Plus the Dance Floor & Tiegel Terrain Parks are open with 12 Features. (MG & SKRPP / 22F / Clear / Lt Winds). Alpine is now owned by Squaw and you ski or ride either resort with back and forth Shuttle Bus service on the Squaw Alpine Express. Squaw Valley USA - Hwy 89 () –is open and reports a base of 31-38Ó.  25 Lifts & Tows are scheduled to operate (9-4) with 14 Lifts from the bottom including the Funitel, Aerial Tram and Red Dog & KT22 open; Plus, all Lifts & Tows at The SnoVentures Beginner Area is all open.  11 Lifts are scheduled for the Upper Mtn. including Shirley Lake, Siberia & Granite Chief. 100 runs open (31MG). Mammoth Mountain - off Hwy 395 – is open reporting a base of 40-60Ó. 24 Lifts are scheduled to operate (8:30-4) the Entire Mountain is Scheduled open.  150 Trails are open (83MG)  + 5 T-Parks with 50 Features & 3 Half Pipes open.
